Dear Mr. McRae,

I read your web site with great interest and enthusiasm. I am a 54 year old white married male from Seaford, Delaware. I am collaterally descended from Delaware Governor William Ross - D (1851-1855) and Delaware Governor William Cannon - R (1861-1864) and have many slavery related items from them. My ancestors were the largest slave holding family in Sussex County, Delaware, owning several plantations.

I am writing a book of poetry and the first poem  is called Human Bondage, regarding slavery. Another poem is entitled Old Will, about an old former slave who lived on our farm.

I am also working on a book about Seaford in the Civil War, regarding slavery, the Underground Railroad and the illegal activities of the two Governors. My book is going to be entitled A Conspiracy of Governors.
