NOTE: Thirty Corps de Afrique regiments were organized in Louisiana and subsequently redesignated United States Colored Cavalry, United States Colored Heavy Artillery and United States Colored Troops (Infantry).
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Regiments Infantry were mustered into the Union Army respectively as Native Guard Regiments, and later redesignated the 73rd, 74th, 75th and 76th United States Colored Troops (Infantry).
